Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a California Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
